This hand’s on course covers the fundamental commands using Land Desktop and touches on elements in Civil Design, Survey and Map. It is designed to guide students through an actual design phase using many of Land Desktop’s commands and functions.

Course Prerequisites

Before starting this course, students should be able to use AutoCAD® software to:

  • Create, open, and save drawing files.
  • Change the display of a drawing by zooming and panning.
  • Display and dock toolbars.
  • Save and restore named views.
  • Use object snaps.
  • Manage layers and control layer visibility.
In addition the student should have knowledge of Survey and Civil design practices.
